Adam Barker is a tax attorney who devotes his practice to tax controversies and tax planning.
Mr. Barker has helped hundreds of clients navigate their controversies with the IRS and other taxing authorities such as the Franchise Tax Board, the Board of Equalization and the Employment Development Department. His tax controversy practice involves representation in examinations and audits, representation in Appeals, litigation in the Tax Court, offers in compromise, payment agreements, large-dollar penalty abatement, Trust Fund Recovery Penalty determinations, worker classifications and other similar matters.
Mr. Barker also advises and consults with clients on estate planning, business planning and transactional matters, employing strategies and structures so that clients may arrange their affairs to minimize adverse tax consequences.
Mr. Barker is admitted for the practice of law in the states of California, Massachusetts and Colorado.
